FAQ
Is ZT421 the same as ZT421 RFID?
No. The standard ZT421 and ZT421 RFID should be separated by actual configuration and Part Number. If RFID is required, confirm tag, surface, region and system compatibility first.
Can ZT421 handle labels wider than 6 inches?
Zebra lists maximum print width as 6.6 in. / 168 mm. The actual media width should still be checked against the media path, print content and selected configuration.
Do I always need ribbon?
It depends on whether the workflow uses thermal transfer or direct thermal printing. Thermal transfer needs a suitable ribbon; direct thermal needs label-life and environment checks.
How should I choose cutter or peel options?
Select cutter, peeler, liner take-up or full rewind based on how labels are collected, print quantity per batch and operator workflow.
Can it connect with WMS or ERP?
ZT421 supports multiple interfaces and ZPL / ZPL II. Fit with a WMS, ERP or label platform should be confirmed by driver, network and print-format requirements.
